Last week London hosted some of the biggest parties all year, with both Aries Music Festival and the Poison Thursday Finale.

Aries Music Festival, a personal favourite of mine for how it cohesively mixes different genres of dance music with the Red Bull Stage and Absolut Stage, is the kind of party you’ll find all your friends at despite their different tastes in music.  For two nights thousands of people raved in what is easily London’s best entertainment venue London Music Hall.  There was a sea of shoulder rides during Chuckie’s set, adoring fans screaming out Helena’s name, signs telling 3LAU he’s now entered our house, and seriously impressive two stepping and shuffling to both Deko-Ze and Victor Calderone’s sets.  If for whatever reason you missed out this year, make sure to start next year’s festival season right with us at Aries.

Of course last Thursday was also somewhat bittersweet, with the Poison Thursday Finale in the #SnakePit, Cobra London put on it’s last party to mark the end of an era.  Over the past four years many DJ’s have come through Cobra, it’s received accolades in DJ Mag Canada,  and have hosted some seriously amazing after parties.  Surely whatever new Thursday ritual happens next year will have trouble topping the precedent Cobra set, but then again you can’t have a good party without good patrons so we have you to thank for that.
